"I purchased your grizzly pan and gold mizer sluice in March of this year. The results are remarkable. I have been panning gold for 10+ years and had become quite proficient at using a circular pan. Several people with whom I do my panning are impressed with how fast I can process an entire bucket full of raw gravel - down to mere concentrates. Thanks to your Grizzly, I can process 4-5 times the material in about 1/10th the time. It is hands down the best pan I have ever used."Changing from a round pan to the Grizzly Pan
"After watching your video and reading your book, my children and I practiced with the Grizzly and the mini sluice last night. The kids went out and got some thrice run black sand concentrates from a mine that was closed more than 90 years ago that I often give them to play with. They got very excited after running 3 pans full and ending up with several pennyweights of fine gold and pickers that the original commercial sluice, our sluice and the children's hand panning missed. I pulled off about $5,000 of gold off it last spring in 3 days. It looks like I must have missed at least another $5,000 by what the children and I reran. I was amazed at how fine the gold was coming from the Grizzly. It would never be caught without mercury in a normal panning or sluicing operation. It was smaller than the finest nonmagnetic black sand dust in the pan (and that may be platinum)."fine gold from black sand concentrates
"Did a test with the Grizzly pan. I was able to pan the equivalent of 35 pans in 22 minutes - 7 minutes to do 7 pans--. I'm very pleased with the performance of the Grizzly pan."Testing the Grizzly pan for speed

"There is no doubt in my mind that I have been missing a lot of gold, relatively speaking, of course. I panned with my (brand name) round pan and took an average of flakes per pan. Then panned from the same spot and the same amount of material with the Grizzly and took out 3 to 4 times as many flakes of gold on average. I am very happy with it!"Comparing Grizzly Pan to round pan
Reworking, cleaned out concentrates
"I received my Grizzly Pan, Gold Miser Sluice and book on Friday. Since I was busy all weekend and did not have a chance to get out to the streambeds, I thought I would practice with a 5 gallon bucket of "cleaned" material just to see how the pan handled. By "cleaned"material, I mean a bucket of sluice and pan concentrates from which (I thought) I had taken out all the values.
The material had been run through my Keene backpacker hand sluice, fed with a garden hose a couple of times and carefully panned about four or five times. I really figured there was nothing of value left in the bucket. In fact, the bucket was out in the barn and I was saving it to throw out on the icy driveway this coming winter as the material was completely dried out and I thought it would be good to keep people from slipping on the ice.
Since the material was already pretty rich in heavies and black sand, I only ran one Grizzly pan full each time before removing the rubber seal and doing a cleanup. Wow! Was I surprised! At each cleanup, I ended up with lots of fines and a few pieces of coarse gold that I would never have believed was still in that material. Your Grizzly Gold Pan is simply amazing! I can't wait to get it out to the streambeds.
"To my surprise, I got as many colors with your pan from the tailings as I got from the first run through the Roto-pan and it actually took me less time and effort to use your Grizzly pan. After that I set the Roto-pan aside and used only your pan for the rest of the trip."GRIZZLY pan vs the ROTO pan on Frazier River Trip
