GOLD MISER SLUICE
TESTIMONIALS

GAIL - ELSINORE, UTAH

"Hi Doc, Just wanted to let you know I watched your video and yesterday morning went out to give your Gold Miser Sluice a test run. I have a washtub out in the yard that I use to pan my concentrates from gold recovery equipment. I don't dump the black sand out of the tub because I know that iT contains tiny, wee fragments of gold. When I pan my concentrates, I remove as much gold as I can see from my pan before washing the black sand into the washtub."

"So, yesterday, I washed all the black sand from the washtub into a bucket and sat down on my panning bench with the Gold Miser Sluice to see if in fact it could recover the fine gold from the black sand in my wash tub. Well, the first run of black sand through the sluice yielded much fine gold. In fact, the gold was so fine I couldn't see it even with my reading glasses on. I had to use a loupe to view the gold between the riffles of the Gold Miser Sluice. Almost every spoonful of that washtub black sand from my washtub showed fine gold! All that fine gold that your sluice recovered I've saved into a plastic cup and will use mercury to recover it as the gold is too small to be retrieved any other way."

"I have to say, Doc, that I am impressed with your sluice's ability to recover fine gold. You know your subject well, as evidenced by the information in your video and the fact that your sluice really does do the job you said it would!!"

"I have used many devices for separating GOLD from concentrates which I get from my sluice box. Most devices are too big, too pricey and just not convenient for my purpose. The most effective device I had used up to this point was one of the GOLD spiral type devices. Problem with those units is the cost and size. This little sluice is great because it is so versatile. I can carry it in my backpack and it weighs almost nothing. It is simple in construction and function. One piece of molded plastic and the blue plastic it is made from is great for seeing small GOLD. You can run small material through it and use a cup of water to wash it through the sluice. It can be done this way but not the best way to do it. It is best as with any sluice to have a steady and consistent stream of water going through it. It is also best not to overload it with material, that is the time when GOLD can wash right through it because the riffles will be full and the GOLD cannot settle into the riffles. This goes for any sluice but especially for a small sluice. For best results, I recommend that you run your material through a #8 mesh screen. I experimented with different ideas on devices to feed this sluice. The result of my efforts is the setup you saw in the photos above. No device is perfect but this item has found a place in my GOLD processing toolbox. I only wish that it was also available in black plastic. The Gold Miser Sluice has been amazing in its ability to separate even flour GOLD. This alone makes it worth the price. The price??? Well, it costs more than a loaf of bread but a lot less than the gasoline it takes to fill your car's tank. The Gold Miser Sluice is manufactured by : Sluice Box, Inc., Route 5, Box 207, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. (618) 244-0505, I highly recommend this item for anyone that searches for GOLD. GOOD LUCK!!!"

"Dear Doc, I have used your "Gold Miser" mini sluice both in stream and in a more controlled condition for working concentrate I brought back from Colorado. In the stream it works great and you get quick results and can easily sample a potential area in no time at all. On my concentrates from Colorado, I used a more controlled system, as we all know fine gold recovery is really the key to success. I had panned this down once before so was really curious as to how much more I could recover with your sluice. I used a fine steady stream of water and the sluice was set on about a 1-1/4" drop. The first spoonful I ran thru brought a smile to my face, as I saw fine gold appear in the first few riffles. Needless to say the rest of the bucket brought the same results. I'm truly amazed at how well it captures fine gold. I feel your two products are the best tools to come along in recent years and will help both a novice or experienced prospector recover more gold."
